Goodbye, Merples, Goodbye

I've decided to let my website, merples.com, lapse at the end of this billing period, in June. I'm just not in fandom enough these days to justify paying for a fannish domain. (Also, my fannish and real identities have become pretty completely merged by this point.) I do want to keep all my stuff freely available and easy to find.

Is it all right if I 'steal' your Demon Under Glass recap and post it somewhere, or else if you pop that up somewhere else more to your preference? I only ask because I linked to it for my DuG/Darklight crossover and I really don't want to have to write my own recap because that would mean watching DuG again.....

I'll be sorry to see the site go, but I get where you're coming from.

Your wish is my command! Posted. http://archiveofourown.org/works/1278643

I updated the images, but the internal links (to Sentinel recaps and whatnot) aren't updated yet because I haven't posted all those. Hopefully I remember to do it later!

Hey there! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog.

Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I
can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking about setting up my own but
I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas
or suggestions? Cheers

That depends, do you want your own domain (like yourname.com)? Setting up and maintaining your own domain can be a little tricky, and it costs money. If you don't mind having a URL like yourname.wordpress.com or yourname.tumblr.com, you can get a free blog running on established, user friendly blogging software. Wordpress or tumblr would be great places to start. I've also heard good things about squarespace.

I'm so glad you've posted your recaps elsewhere. I wanted to read them again, and was so unhappy to find that your website wouldn't launch. Thanks so much for doing the Sentinel recaps. As a new fan (missed the boat years ago), those recaps are invaluable for so many reasons.

Hmm, looks like my Sentinel vids are still on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/lauraredcloud) but can't find SGA right now. Will look.
