Finally!!
So we have had an interesting past few days. We were hoping to have a scheduled induction today but because I'm not 41 weeks it is still considered an elective procedure so I was told I could still be bumped if there was not space after all the medical inductions got dibs. Well we got the call yesterday evening that indeed I had been bumped. I was admittedly upset because part of the reason we had wanted to induce was because Travis has to go back to work on Monday. Since he hasn't been at his job a full year he doesn't qualify for paternity leave so we have been burning his vacation time for him to be home with me. Thus, when we were told I had been bumped I started freaking out because if we pushed this too much later Travis would have zero time to be with me and Elizabeth, which would be sad.
Well apparently you do not bump Miss Elizabeth Anne Phelps. At 5 this morning my water broke so despite being bumped I am currently at the hospital and should deliver in a few hours. I am highly amused by the whole thing and relieved that Travis will have a few days to get to know his daughter before going back to work.
