Haha....Typical Q-town neighbors.

Random guy cutting through our yard while we're doing yardwork says, "Hello, sir, hope you don't mind me cutting through."
Dad says, "Well, here you are."
Random guy says, "Well I won't take up too much grass, I promise. So what are you planting?"
Dad, "Lettuce."
Random guy, "Oh, that'll be awful tasty in about six months."
Dad (muttering after the guy leaves) "More like six weeks..."

We love our brainless Q-towners. ^.^

So what happened yesterday was incredibly strange but great. =P

So this guy (Won't name the name) asks me out on a date, so I'm like...sure, why not? But I told him he had to make sure he got a group together, so he reassures me he will. He wanted to take me to the improv show at Forest Park.

So the next day he calls me when he's supposedly like...five minutes from my house (Great notice) and says he's just gonna drop by for a few minutes because he can't "hang out" anymore. So I'm like...psh...and do the fastest makeup job ever. So I meet him outside, and he's standing beside this other girl who like...drove him there? He doesn't have his license and he's like 17? (I mean, I don't, but I'm homeschooled and have absolutely nowhere to go o.O He's all over the place all the time.)

So I ask why he suddenly can't take me to this show and he's like, "...I dunno." He looks kinda nervous and says, "Did you still want to go?" No, you dope, I was just waiting all day for you to call me and let me know when you were picking me up. "Yeah! I do."

So anyway, mom and dad were going out to dinner with my sister and her husband, and I didn't know that till that morning, so we had to take Thomas with us. But then the girl says she can't drive more than two people with her at a time, but she says this halfway to forest park. -_-

So then she realizes she's low on gas, so we stop at her house and she asks "the guy" (apparently this was very short notice for her to drive him everywhere) if she can drop us off at his house and have his parents take us there, so he agrees. We get dropped off at his house, he leaves us outside while he talks to his parents, and then he comes back out and says, "Sorry, my parents won't drive us. Mind if we walk?"

....Kay, I had no idea Forest Park was like...four miles from his house. He's like, "It won't take long". It took us an hour and a half -_- Idgit. And the whole time he talks non-stop, barely letting me get a word in edgewise, about baseball and how great he is at it, and starts telling all these amazing hero stories of his that totally sound exaggerated and some made up. Then he starts telling me about times he and his friends got drunk and went cart-racing at Foodlion -_- And one of his friends bashed into a car and flew over the hood and then they took off as fast as they could. (Oh yeah, I'm reeeal impressed). He constantly talks about how much he skips school (as if that's so cool), and tells me about a time he made his new teacher cry. Oh yeah, I'm drooling for him now. -_-

So we finally reach forest park, and poor Thomas is dead on his feet and we're both miserable, while "the guy" is totally still bragging about his "achievements". I'm like....yeah, you're gonna go far. No wonder he's going to bootcamp instead of college. Sheesh, anyway, he's like the exact example of what I DON'T ever want to date. And accidentally did. Yeah, where's this big group he had planned? He doesn't know.

So we go inside and the lady asks for five bucks per ticket, and it's already halfway through the show. He suddenly looks nervous again and points to the door and (no joke) says, "I have to...go do something real quick, okay? Go to my locker." Oh no, you ain't leaving me in here with this evil lady poking me for five bucks that I don't have. He said HE was gonna pay when I asked how much it was on the way over. So I'm like...psh...cause it wasn't a, "Hey, I've gotta go to my locker to grab some money," kinda thing, it was like, "Hey, I've gotta go to my locker so I don't have to pay for you. You're on your own."

So I follow him out, definitely not staying with that lady, and the guy who runs it says we can go on in for free. Suddenly John acts like whatever he had to do wherever else doesn't exist, and walks right on in. Keep in mind not once has he opened the door for me. He hops on in, waving to those he knows and strides up to the top, leaving an exhausted me'n'Thomas lagging awkwardly behind.

So after the show was over (he was off talking with his friends in the back while Thomas and I were left in the crowd.) I find him, wondering how we're even getting home. He leaves again, and Thomas and I are once again standing in the middle of everyone that we don't know. He comes back and pulls me over to this guy and is like, "Hey, I need you to take her home." I'm like, "Well, aren't you coming with us?" "Well actually...my friends are having a party and I...uh..." I try not to roll my eyes. "No problem." So he runs off. Yay, what a wonderful date. I'm never speaking to him again.

So I talk with this guy Sean on the way over to the car, me apologizing profusely about forcing him to take me home. He claims he has nothing better to do and that he insists on taking me home (even though it's WAAAAY out of his way. He opened the door for me'n'Thomas and makes sure Thomas is set and secure in the back seat before letting me sit in the front (The first guy let the two of us sit in the back while he sat up front.) so I could talk with him. Thomas was so tired he konked out anyway. So it turns out that Sean doesn't even really KNOW the guy who took me on the date in the first place. Someone just pointed him out to the guy who took me and was like, "Sean can drive." I was like, gee, thanks, for shoving me onto someone else you don't even know.

...I found out Sean didn't even go to forest park, in fact, he went to a christian school. He was incredibly sweet and didn't use any profanity (Which, by the way, was what came out of the other guy's mouth every other sentence), and was very soft spoken. We had a fancy for anime in common, so we talked mostly about that. I mentioned also that my dad had been in the military so we moved around, and I described about how much I loved California and the garden and farm we had. He said his friend had a farm and that it wasn't too far away, so we ended up making a side-stop, which Thomas enjoyed thoroughly, playing with all the farm animals -- ponies, sheep, goats, rabbits, geese, and even a llama =P

So anywho, afterward, Thomas was whining about how hungry he was and I explained that we hadn't eaten since noon (I'd half expected the other guy to let us drop by burger king or sommat...) and he was like, "Oh! Well then let's go get something to eat!" It was like...10 =P But we went to Taco Bell anyway and he paid for it ^.^ How sweet. He insisted, and kept insisting XP

So...hmm...I met the person who is exactly who I DON'T want to date, but went through all of it to have another date with a guy I DO want to date =P Funny how that works. I never did get his screen name or phone number or anything. But I have a feeling I'm going to run into him again. ^.^

Oh, he prayed before he ate at Taco Bell too, I thought that was sweet ^.^ I love people who actually practice their religion ^.^. AAAAand he gave me his jacket when it got cold -- how sweet. >P He could carry a tune too. During the few moments it was silent in the car and all there was was the radio in the background, I'd hear him hum and he could actually keep the note. I was surprised and most impressed =P I found I could really be myself and speak openly around him, unlike when I was with the first guy, who totally made me want to run and hide, so I was quiet and my mind wandered a lot, which is very unlike me =P. I found when I was around the first guy, I'd constantly be telling Thomas to hush (mostly because the guy would talk non-stop and Thomas would try and speak but I wanted to be polite to the guy), whereas when I was with Sean, he would always pause and let Thomas speak, and I found myself being much nicer to Thomas. Sean really brought out the best in me I think...

Anyway...that's my story of the night. Going through all that annoyance to have one of the best nights of my life. How cool :) Two dates in one night, polar opposite XP How neat.
