Holiday Wishes
Step One:
Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.")
If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two:
Surf around your friendslist (and the master list) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

(If anyone does one with Stana Katic (from Castle, who I use as my girl!Flack) with blue eyes I'd love you forever.)
5. Icons: CSI:NY [I'd especially love Flack/Angell, Flack or Angell or Hawkes-centric, or Hawkes/Aiden], Criminal Minds [I'd especially love Prentiss and/or Rossi or Prentiss/Rossi, or Prentiss/Jordan], or Castle [Esposito/Ryan is love, as is Beckett and Lanie]. Other fandoms would be great, too (see the multitude of lists above), but those are my big three right now. (And I seriously need a Hawkes/Aiden icon.)
6. Layout help: I'm getting bored with my LJ layout and would really love some help replicating my Dreamwidth layout (at
zeldaophelia) over on LJ. I have a feeling it's going to involve custom layers and stuff like that which sorta makes my brain seize up. If not that, something in a similar vein (header over entries, side bar with links and tags) would be great.
7. Netflix: My subscription address is zeldaophelia @ gmail.com. I usually stick to the one disc at a time unlimited - a month or two of that would be great.
8. Recs: Rec me your favorite fics, if there's something you think I'd love but haven't seen yet.
9. Vid: Fanvid or trailer to go with one of my fics.
10. Wishlist: My Amazon wishlists are here. It defaults to the books list, but I've got lists for other things as well.
