There...really *is* no legend. Rah never really does anything very extraordinary.
And Stouffer seems to be completely unable to figure out what sort of stuff you should elaborate on because it's interesting or useful to the plot and what you shouldn't. I expect she thought that this was Interesting Filler, like when Rowling writes about Harry's classes and the like. Except...it really fails.
Yeah, you can see already that these children are treated differently and its going to mess up Zyn. Whatever he does, he's probably going to get my sympathy.
"The color of rusty metal?" So, does Zyn have reddish-gray hair? That would look odd on a baby. If Ms. Stouffer wanted to say that he had red hair, why not use another image? At least Stephenie Meyer said that Edward had copper hair.
And if the twins are going to be treated differently based on their looks, then I do feel sorry for Zyn. I hope he doesn't turn out to be an "evil twin" or something like that.
If you're ever tempted to try writing a "deaf character mishears everything" comedy routine, reconsider. It'll never be funnier than the Fawlty Towers episode "Communication Problems", and chances are it won't even come close.
No, no, no, no, NO! If so many things are new and strange now that the sun (so to speak) has appeared again, shouldn't the Muggles need a leetle more time to investigate and study them, before creating all sorts of new jobs around them? This is a totally new environment, for Pete's sake! Take the aloe salve, for instance. How could they, after what I presume is less than a year, have figured out the medicinal qualities of aloe vera AND have learned to prepare salve out of the gel?
Research failure, too. A two-second google search tells us that aloe vera is good against sunburns, minor burns, and other skin problems, and is a strong laxative. I didn't find anything on healing of friggin' blindness! And how, how would they already know how to spin silk? Argh!
*deep breath* Apologies, it appears I'm being rational and logical again. Bad idea, in this place.
Well, of course Rah's perfection levels are already off the charts! He's legendary! He must be! Stupid Zyn with your ugly looks, daring to be a twin to His Magnificence! /sarcasm

Oh, and Stouffer? Speaking as someone with reddish hair and green eyes?
*FLIPS THE BIRD*
Also, isn't this slow-paced for a children's book? Get to the legend part already! I don't give a shit about their first words, Stouffer!

I wouldn't mind kidnapping Zyn and raising him myself.
Just saying.

Yeah, logic really doesn't mix well with this book. ^^; It's very annoying.
