All information on worst known Mary Sues are here. If you have knowledge of an especially egregious offender, kindly inform HQ at once.( Read more... )
I believe she was the Sue in "Seven Days" (the Labyrinth fandom), which das_mervin started to spork. She was written by the same crazy lady who made Victoria Todd.
Along the lines of especially egregious offenders, try Clary Fray (also Jace Wayland) in City of Bones. (Spoiler - Jace isn't ACTUALLY her brother.) I think Aikaterni's mentioned her a few times...
I'm surprised no one's mentioned Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way yet. If they have, I'll take that as a sign from the Fanfiction Gods that it is time for you to do a "My Immortal" spork. Before you do it, I recommend you get familiar with it. However, if you are a Harry Potter Hater, you may find it more entertaining than "head-desk" worthy due to the fact that Harry Potter has fans who spell and write like this. tvtropes.org has a rather good comprehensive list of all violations of originality and tropes used.
Oh, and another one for you to do is (and I have spelled these as she did) "Forbiden fruit the temtation Of Edward Cullen". Widely believed to have been written by the same authoress as My Immortal.
Oh, and I advise you to take regular breaks in order to keep your sanity. The fic is worse than My Inner Life.
As someone who has studied both fanfics extensively (and I can't believe I just said that), they're a very different kind of awful. The writing style is completely different. Besides, there's really no need to spork either of those, is there? It'd be like sporking The Room. I mean, Forbiden Fruit practically sporks itself, doesn't it?
Has anyone suggested Amelia Atwater-Rhodes's works yet? I believe she was 15 when her first book (incidentally, it was about vampires) was published, and honestly it wasn't terrible. However, her second one is so far into Mary Sue territory it's not even funny. Like, the main character is a 15 year old author who writes about vampires who finds out that the characters she writes about are real--an author insert so blatant that even when I was in middle school and lapped badly written YA up I could still tell what it was.
All her other vampire books after that one were slightly better, though still at best resoundingly meh, and her Kiesha'ra series (about shapeshifters) was packed full of Sues, nonsensical plots, and sometimes unfortunate implications. I remember liking the first book in the series, but it definitely got worse and worse as it went on.
I've actually never heard of her before. Looking at the summaries of some of these stories, she's looking like a pretty good candidate. *makes mental note to see if library has those books*
Jace is a Gary-Stu? I see it..but I kinda refuse to accept it :P...I would prefer if he was like how he acted when Clary was around all the time, or if Maybe he wasn't good at everything he did..but his Mary-sueness dies down when Clary, a not MS, comes around.
