I think that, much like Stephenie Meyer doesn't seem to have a concept of what sparkling looks like, Neil doesn't understand what tickling feels like. Because these reactions are way over the top.

Also, nice characterization, there. Because everyone loves a protagonist who's a perverted, whining hypocrite.

Well, I'd be pretty freaked out if three boys (or girls) tied me up and started touching me everywhere, whether they called it 'tickling' or 'rape', but then again, I'm not sure if Neil realizes just how rapey this is...

I think he's just been insisting that it's not rape or sexual assault since there hasn't technically been any sex yet, therefore it's DIFFERENT and JUSTIFIED. Or something. I don't have a clue what's going on in his head, and I REALLY don't want to.

I think so. Our friend HG-131 (aka the TV Tropes troll) continued to swear right and left that Hogwarts Exposed wasn't actually child porn, because the children in it were fictional, and that Emily's manipulation of Kim wasn't wrong or twisted because Kim ended up enjoying being a nudist, you see. Given a mindset like that, I could see Neil arguing that it wouldn't count as rape or the like because there was no actual penetration, or that it's fine because Benedict agreed to it (before knowing the conditions and being tricked, but it's not like logic has bothered Neil before)

Oh, I don't think he's overreacting to the situation, which is not okay in so many ways. It's lines like this, "Ben’s tummy quivered and he tried to pull himself backwards away from this almost painful experience" that make me think he's overplaying the tickling part.
