Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:
1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?
I was given Harry Potter, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and The Legend of Zelda!
Harry Potter
1. Well, I first got into the books when I was in middle school. My grandmother got the first two for me, and my mom read them to my brother and I before bed. I read the rest on my own. I didn't get into the fandom itself until sometime after Order of the Phoenix was released. So yes, I just missed that three-year summer thing.
2. I'm kind of moving on already. I'm not out of it entirely, and I'll always love Harry Potter, but I'm not as involved in it as I once was.
3. The first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
4. Not so much now, but I did used to write fanfiction and get into discussions on IMDb. I also followed the shenanigans of DrakeMadEyeWeasley while there, if that counts...
5. Yeah, although I think they should be prepared to love or hate some parts of the fandom. ^^;
Avatar: The Last Airbender
1. Believe it or not, it was the a combined effort of Jackie Diaz (author of How I Became Yours) and that fucking movie M. Night Shamalan did. I read about both, heard how pissed off the fans were, and wondered how the series really was. And so, I began watching.
2. Definitely stay, especially with The Legend of Korra coming out!
3. The multi-part finale. We get the cast all being awesome, we get everyone finding their friends, family, spouses, boyfriends/girlfriends, and so on, we get signs that things will be turning for the better, and it's just fantastic! The only thing I wish is that we got some actual resolution on what happened to Zuko's mother.
4. No, actually. If sporkings count though, I will be.
5. Oh most definitely! :D
The Legend of Zelda
1. I started in when I was in fifth grade, which was when I rented Ocarina of Time from the local video store. A few years later, I joined a video game forum and got more involved in the fandom.
2. *glances at Skyward Sword* I'm a-staying!
3. Um...gah. Just pick one? :( Erm, I'll have to split my answer with Ocarina of Time (first one I played, and really was influential to me), Majora's Mask (just fantastic, creepy, loved it!), Twilight Princess (loved the graphics, the world, and Midna), and Skyward Sword (great use of items, very nice innovative world-building, and Fi wasn't too bad, aside from reminding me that I had three hearts left)
4. Between the fanfiction, the My Inner Life thing, and the animated movie I'm still trying to get made, I'd say yes.
5. Oh heck yeah!
