Holidays In The Realm - Finale
The Sporks had been vanquished
The end of year nigh
The sporkers had gathered
To bid 2011 goodbye
There was punch and laughter
And debauchery abounding
Joy and merriment
With good cheer resounding
When all at once
In the middle of the room
There spread such a feeling
Of horrible gloom
Everyone turned to gape
And there rose such a clatter
ZeldaQueen saw the source
And was mad as a hatter
"You fucker!" she snarled
"Get out of here! Go!
Quit screwing with my life
You stupid freakshow!"
"You can't order me out,"
The figure did boast
"I am stronger than you!
I am Christmas Sporking's Ghost!"
"You've got big balls,"
ZeldaQueen said with a growl
"After you tormented me on Christmas!
Get out! Leave now!"
"Hold for a moment,"
Said the Ghost, with good grace
"Your heartfelt moral
You now must face!
You've sporked things so bad
Now have a look and see
Are next year's jobs so bad
Knowing how bad they could be?"
ZeldaQueen gave pause
And gave the idea thought
What she realized was better
Than any gift store-bought
The the old parable
Of the wiseman's decree
You don't know how good things are
'Til you find out how bad they can be
Faced with this notion
ZeldaQueen faced the spirit
"Fine, you're right," she said
"I know you wanted to hear it"
"Nonsense," the Ghost said,
"My job is only done
With your own revelations
That you find sporking to be fun!"
"You're right," said ZQ
"And just so you know,
Here's a Christmas gift with
All the love to you I can show"
The Ghost took her present
And took off the lid
He peered inside
As soon as he did
And all at once from the package
From where it was placed
Out shot a boxing glove
And hit him square in the face
The specter cried "Omph!"
And fell to the ground
There were cheers and then cries
Of "One more round!"
And thus all the sporkers
Returned to their booze
A new year was arriving
There was nothing to lose
It was a time for beginnings
And a time for ends
A time for resolutions
And for gathering with friends
As midnight approached
There was nothing but cheer
With another year down
There was nothing to fear
And with 2012 rolling in
ZeldaQueen does wish you all
The best of luck in the new year
May your fortunes never fall!
May the fun never end
May we remain as friends
For auld lang syne and new ones
