So, I'm at home sick feeling progressively worse every day. Doctor's appointment tomorrow. I should write everything down beforehand because I have no voice. I feel so.... 1950s housewife. Without the cooking sherry binge drinking

I have the new Tori Amos. I like it. Compared to Scarlet's Walk and Strange Little Girls, this record is definetly better. Although the fierce-ness of Boys For Pele is still there, it's less In-Your-Face and far more in a subtle way. The record is too long, though, as it clocks in at an amazing 89 minutes with 19 songs. Regardless, there is some crap on it, but most of it is really good.

I want to recommend three friends of mine.

The first one is Allison Crowe, who has an insanely powerful voice. She is a 21 year old Canadian who likes to cover Tori and also did a stunning cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.
