[the dreamscape keeps changing. One moment, it's the Hyrule of Old, another it's an ocean as far as the eye can see and yet another has it on an Island without a way off. Occasionally, the faint image of an old derelict compound can be seen superimposing itself over the familiar (or not so familiar) environment.
The one thing that remains constant is the single Hero walking through the different images, a blank expression on his face.
Every night it was the same. He would dream and remember... Without headaches, he could explore the realms of his memory or simply stand still and watch his life play out like a movie. Sometimes, it would be peaceful, with fond memories and smiles and people that he knew and loved. Ezlo or the King berating him for another idiot stunt - "I thought I was done for! We are not going on that contraption agai- what's with that smile? Don't tell me you enjoyed it!!" "It was fun though! We were going so fast and everything!" - or just a conversation long forgotten amongst old friends.
This time...]
Not again.
[bracing himself, Link suddenly doubles over as if in pain. With dreams, he normally didn't want to wake. In nightmares, it was as if it was a form of sleep paralysis.
Looking up, his own appearance wavers slightly before-]
[he cries as he's thrown at the opposite wall. There's the taste of blood in his mouth but he's not going to give up. Stand up, Hero, stand up! The Seasons will not restore themselves if you let this madman get away]
Onox..!
[his foe was unseen, an entity that remains in his memory until the corresponding Hero shows up... But it is apparent that whoever he is fighting has the advantage in terms of strength and location]
[but this is simply one fight amidst his incomplete memory. Before long the sounds of battle fades away and he returns to the way he was before, looking exhausted but otherwise unharmed]
I don't want to see anymore.
