[If one happens to be visiting Kakariko Village today and looking towards the former Kakariko Inn, they will see SEVERAL unusual events unfolding:]
[Firstly, there's an oddly high level of activity about the place: Whether it was Linksha or Harper who noticed first is still up for debate, but what IS for certain is that the two aforementioned men have since then gathered all other inn residents, as well as one rather put-off wind mage, and coerced convinced them that they need to search for one missing Jewel, who was last spotted approximately one hour ago, and was noticed missing right around lunchtime, when she failed to show up at her usual mealtime haunts -- she was neither in the inn's kitchen, where this hour normally sees her standing over a pot and stirring, nor in Harper's living room, where our favorite lech had been eagerly awaiting his lunch date
( ... )
[After a brief venture into the Lost Woods, Green has returned to Kakariko Village, mainly for the reason of visiting Princess Zelda, and perhaps getting something to eat, if he had time. But immediately after entering the village, he notices what could be best described as ‘organized chaos’.]
[…Had something happened? Frowning, he continues forward, before a worrisome thought hits him. What if Ganon has attacked the village again? He growls faintly. How much more madness could this place take, anyway?]
[And then he hears Linksha’s battle cry, and he jolts his head in its direction, startled. Well, okay. Something was definitely the matter. Clenching his fists, he runs up to the armored Linksha and asks,]
What’s going on?
[ooc: I hope you don't mind me jumping in here? ^^;;]
[Already, he's begun talking heatedly with the residents and Vaati, discussing where Ganon's most likely to keep Jewel, possible plans for assault, and what to do about the hordes of monsters they'll have to distract, to get there. Dealing with Ganon, himself, is no issue; once Linksha gets to him, the rest is pretty simple: Silver Arrow (preferably through both eyes), White Sword to the gut, step back before he recovers, then rinse and repeat until dead.]
[He hears the young voice at his shoulder and nods an unusually curt greeting to Green, then hands the boy the note just delivered.] "This is what's happening... and what's GONNA happen, very shortly, is I'm personally mounting Pigman's carcass on my wall." [He didn't mean to, but that last bit was more snarled than spoke.]
[OOC: no worries at all, my dear! And while my dear muse has no REAL armor, I suppose Linksha wearing both Handy Gloves like a set of gauntlets, with a shield strapped to his back, IS as close to it as he's gonna be getting, anytime soon XD]
[He takes the letter and begins to read, expression quickly growing angry as his eyes scan the words. Threatening the village with monsters had been bad enough, but this? ...It was just going too far. The paper growing crumpled in his fist, he unconsciously draws his Four Sword.]
....Dammit, that Ganon.
[He looks back up at Linksha.]
So how are we gonna rescue her?
[There's a pause, and then he adds, in a decidedly quieter voice,] ...Zelda...I mean, Zelda from my world. ...She's okay, right?
[The inn's junior Zelda is badly shaken by the news of what's happened to her roommate and presumed ancestress. But when she hears the little green hero's soft inquiry about his own Princess, it catches her attention and distracts her.]
Your Zelda is just fine, Green, don't worry. I'd be surprised if we don't -- yes, look. [She points at the small blonde figure making its way in their direction.] Here she comes now; she must have heard the shouting.
[Sure enough, "little" Zelda joins the crowd outside the inn, reading the message over Green's shoulder and adopting a grave and troubled expression. Zelda wonders if this other, more distant ancestress's thoughts are running along similar lines of her own.]
What would you have us do, Linksha? Harper? How can we help?
[Harper is nearly beside himself. He contains it as best he can; worrying was going to do nobody any good, and least of all Jewel. Still, the disappearance of his love has him more than a little distraught and he's equal parts concerned for her welfare and driven by a dangerous desire to find Ganon and make it painful.
Brushing away the last of the tears he'd shed--he'd cry again when he had her in his arms--he steels himself for what must be done. Linksha's made the call for battle and Harper's ready to heed the cry, his own armor and vambraces sliding into place like an old lover.
He's armed with sais once again, and the hands that so lovingly caressed his harp now gripped cold, hard steel.]
[For a moment, the ice in Linksha's eyes melts. 'He really DOES love her, doesn't he.' It's the first time Harper's slipped into Sheikan in Linksha's presence
( ... )
It's dangerous to go alone, Linksha. You need someone with you. As for someone to imitate you, who here knows your... [It strikes him then that he already knows the answer to that question.] ...technique...
I guess there's no point in asking that, is there? But... er, is it all right if I use my Medallions? I don't want to ruin the disguise, but I might need to use their power...
Anyway, [he doesn't want to think about that now] who's going in there with you? You can't go all by yourself. What if something happens?
[Harper steps forward, eyes flicking toward his fellow warriors. His mask is up--none will see that removed but Jewel herself, but he makes his face as unguarded and as full of emotion as he dares.]
I need to help extract her. I can go with Linksha into the castle itself. I'm more suited for stealth than open combat.
Then I suppose I'm with Link here, hmm? After all, we need to keep him safely out of Ganon's hands... and to be honest, I would be more useful on the battlefield than hiding. [He sighs. He isn't sure what he thinks about another battle.
[He gives Linksha a meaningful Look.] So take your whistle and use it if you need to. If either of you get captured, that will make everything more difficult.
[Green listens to the conversation attentively, trying decide what he ought to do. On one hand, he wanted to go with Linksha and act as backup for their rescue mission. ...But on the other hand, he felt like he should stay back and protect the village.]
[Looking rather conflicted, he says,] I'll go with you guys as backup.
...But if Kakariko needs to be defended, I could do that instead...
[Shad has been listening intently, though quietly, as the others begin the planning. His face is grave.]
I can be of some use to you. Prior to Ganon's seizure of the premises, I took the liberty of mapping the interior of Hyrule Castle -- mostly to see how it compares with the one from my own time. It may be helpful. Like young Green here, I will fill whatever post you see fit to assign me, but rest assured that I am no less anxious to bring our dear den mother back where she belongs. However I may assist, I will.
[Sheik's offer truly IS appreciated, since he doesn't know anyone else capable of casting illusion spells. It's useful knowing that's a Sheikah skill, too. He half-bows to her

Sister. How glad I am to have you by my side. Help me rescue my love? My moon-and-stars?
[He switches to Hylian]
I think Linksha probably has more experience in leading an attack. I'm mostly experienced in defense, and my judgment's clouded.
