[Despite the many questions, he has no answers, and the more he dwells on them the less sure he becomes of anything. Nothing makes sense anymore. It hasn't for a while, hasn't since he first woke up on the island, hasn't since he started tracking down the Nightmares...

[Is that it? Is he still dreaming? Is any of this real? He grits his teeth, biting back a yell of frustration, and keeps running. That's what he's doing in every sense of the word: running at full Pegasus Boots-enhanced speed across the southern part of the field. He knows in the end this will get him nowhere, but he can't stop. He has to do something to chase away all the thoughts, all the questions, all the frustration.
[But he can't run forever, no matter how much he wants to. At some point -- he doesn't know or care where he is now -- he finally takes one stride too many, and his legs refuse to work anymore. He doesn't even bother to try and catch himself as he crashes to the grass. He lays there, staring out at nothing, letting the sounds of his raspy, rapid breath and his heavily pounding heart drown out his thoughts.]
