Duress viz, clothing.

[His equipment was gone. Everything, including the Master Sword, had gone with the wind.]

[Link wouldn't have minded the change of clothes too much, if said change hadn't included a variety of aspects that made the outfit somewhat uncomfortable to bear on several levels. The dark, ominous coloring of the tunic, along with the red earrings and ( Read more... )

[A distraction from the desire to pull off his gauntlets was everything but unwelcome. Link turned to face the Sheikah and greeted him with a smile that was both genuine and vaguely uncomfortable.

It was hard to think of how to explain exactly what had happened, as the Hero didn't even understand it himself. And he noted that the state of Sheik's clothing was unaltered. Why had...whatever happened only selected certain people?]

I am.. [He hesitated and frowned softly, slipping a finger under the cords around his neck to loosen the triforce jewelry.]

[He pause and lightly rubbed the back of his neck. How to explain this..?].. My....equipment was stolen by the wind. [He looked across the field as he explained it, a little embarrassed; not as much by the clothes, but because he knew just how silly the explanation sounded.]

[Link was just about as confused as Sheik was. But even more so, he worried about the fate of the Master Sword. Evil couldn't touch it, but if the blade became lost somehow...

He frowned softly and looked uncomfortably down at his gauntlets.]

The only thing I was told is that a spell failed.

[He looked up at Sheik, hopefully] Do you know anything about it?

[Link studied Sheik uncertainly. They?]

Who do you mean, 'they'? [Link hesitated, to reconsider] ..People from the place you came from, you mean?

[A worried frown slowly tugged at the Chosen Hero's face.]

Then you believe a person from your world is in Hyrule?

[Link quickly picked up on the fright in the Sheikah's tone and took a single step closer. He wanted to reassure Sheik somehow, but he knew nothing of the people he spoke of beyond what little he'd been told.]

But you were not targeted by the spell... [He paused, and reflected before continuing.] It is possible that the spell caster is someone already lived in Hyrule.

[He looked away for a moment, and towards Kakariko, thinking.]

You should take shelter until the people responsible are caught. [He agreed, nodding shortly. Anyone that could, should be kept out of the curse's line of fire if at all possible.]

Would you feel safer by the Lake?

[He remembered that Sheik had liked Lake Hylia.]

[Link nodded, and then looked towards the far side of Hyrule Castle. He brought his fingers to his lips, and let out a long, high whistle. The large gray horse that he'd taken into his care some time ago quickly trotted to attention. It tossed its head indignantly when it finally came to a stop beside Link.]

It will be faster on horseback. [He explained, as he gently patted the horse's nose to calm it.]

[He tugged carefully at the horse's makeshift rope reins, readying them for the short journey.]

It's a lot like riding alone. [Link explained, kindly. Then, gripping the horse's neck he - with effort - hoisted himself onto Furen's back. The animal snorted and tossed his tail impatiently in response. He stroked the horse's neck in an attempt to get the proud creature to stand still.]

Do you need help mounting?
