[There's no chaos in Hyrule Field today. No bullets flying. No bombs exploding. No teammates shouting for a Medic. No enemies getting blown to smithereens.
To Zelda Sheik, something is terribly wrong with this picture.
A sudden flash of bright light occurs somewhere in the field. It quickly fades, revealing in its place a strange, but

So, uh, hi. The kid's staring at you now. Big. Eyes.]
Teleporter?

...?
[Holy shit this kid is adorable has huge eyes. And what's with those ears? Don't get him started on the clothes.]
Teleporter. [he replies simply, pointing a bandaged finger down to the odd blue glow beneath his shoes - an aftereffect from using a machine far too advanced for Hyrule. Sheik's still got a hold of the knife, keeping it hidden in his suit pocket.]

What does it do?

Transports people quickly from one location to another in a near-instant.
This wasn't where I was meant to go... [he mutters to himself, scanning the field once more. He's too far - much too far. The previous area Sheik was in was a goddamn desert.]
[lowering himself to one knee so that he's closer to Link's eye level] Where is this?

People said it's Hyrule Field. [He makes a face at this, still a little disbelieving at the news.] I asked a guard and some people in a town, and they all said the same thing.
You didn't know, either?

Hyrule. The name is all too familiar to Sheik, but not in the way one in this land would expect. To him, Hyrule is the name of a corporate empire - his family's - not some quiet, backwater who-knows-what-this-is.]

There's a castle over there, [he says, pointing to the general direction of the castle. Then, he points somewhere else.]
There's a village over there, too. Kakariko. I don't have a good map yet, but I just got here.
Reply
And how did you get here, exactly...?

Anyway, Link shrugged at the question.]
I was sleeping on my boat, and when I woke up I was in the river. I talked to a guard and he said nobody knew how to go home and took me to Kakariko.

He tilts his head the slightest bit, puzzled. Wait, run that by him again.] So your boat drifted down the river while you lay asleep? [Why not just... sail back to where you came from, Link?]

I was on the ocean before I got here. But the guard told me there's no oceans near here!
[Yes, he's a little miffed about this and it's easy to see.] I need to get back to the Great Sea. I can't stay here.

You speak nonsense. Without any link to the sea, that's...
[But in all seriousness, this whole situation is vexing. Sheik allows himself to sigh faintly as he presses a thumb and forefinger against the bridge of his nose.]
You and I both. My comrades need me. [To sap sentries and cause major QQing.]

Everything's really weird. There's a lake and a river, but no ocean. I can't find my boat, either. [That was kind of important.]
I'm trying to look for a way out. I'm gonna find it.
(ooc: toon!link's facial expressions shall always be a thing of beauty and lulz. /sagely nod)

[Attempting to be A smooth motherfucker, Sheik stands back up (the blue light's long gone by now I forgot about it) and lifts the left sleeve of his blazer up ever so slightly, revealing part of what looks like a wristwatch. He presses one of its buttons down and holds it there, now speaking more to the device rather than Link.]
Spy to Engineer. Your deficient teleporter has done it again. I require your assistance, if RED hasn't dominated you already.
[He waits for a response, but alas... nothing. Nothing but dull static and an awkward silence.]
