[Well, he's back from Termina, finally, but after making it back through the maze of the Lost Woods with Epona, he was exhausted! But he just laid down for a little nap near the entrance to Kokiri Forest... And now he can't find Epona anymore! He can't even hear her whinny when he plays her song...
Link sighs, hoping that she's made it back to Lonlon Ranch safely, and steps into the forest, immediately unnerved by not seeing any of the Kokiri out and about nor monsters rampaging. After more aimless wandering, he decides to stroll out of the forest and into Hyrule Field.
He brings the ocarina up to his lips and plays Saria's Song, wondering if he can reach her at all.]
