[Her feet suffer from never-ending turmoil. She carries herself with the same ease she has done for years on end. She stands no longer at her post. With what she's seen, she has every right to believe that she's no longer needed to be stationed in one place. She grows restless with time, yet perhaps to some degree she is ageless. How would she know ( Read more... )

[She is not restricted. Nabooru is a free spirit. She is liberated at last. The one in green left behind to his own thoughts and plans. She would only lend her help for one where she received something in return. Where would she go next? What would she look for? Where have the others gone? Do they await her return? Is she considered a traitor to them as well?

Her eyebrows furrow. There is a man. A man-like creature, at the very least, of whom she is not familiar. She has never seen him before. He bears a remarkable resemblance to someone she has seen before, but she can't quite put her finger on it. Is it a friend? Is it a foe? Is it someone who is following in Ganondorf's footsteps? Or is it someone simply passing through the desert?

She comes within earshot. A firm grasp upon her scimitar, and she speaks straight forward.]

Your face is not recognized here. Not to me. Who are you?

[ooc: It's okay! I certainly know how it is.]

[What a deliciously valid point. She considers his words and she nods once, a curt gesture. She's not going to argue with him. Of course, Nabooru can't say she knows many outside of the desert. Nothing seems terribly different about this one, though. You've seen one desert, and perhaps you've seen them all.

Her lips upturn. She's a prideful creature, perhaps obsessed with it.]

I'm Nabooru, the second-in-command of the Gerudos. No one knows these deserts greater than me.

[Is it boasting or purely what she believes is honesty? It doesn't matter, she supposes. Words are words and sometimes that's all they are.]

Just a wanderer, you say? Do you 'wander' through here often, then?

[Ganondorf had vowed not to return to this forsaken place. Not since the slaughter of his people. And yet there he stood, surveying the landscape and noting how decidedly unchanged the desert was. And as much as he hated to admit it, it gave him a nostalgic feeling. He was home.]

[He catches movement and turns in its direction. The shape was familiar, as was the stranger's swagger. He knew the stranger. He knew her very well. Taking a step toward her, he called out to her.]

So you've escaped death? You were always a crafty one, Nabooru.

[That voice is all too familiar to her. He was her leader, her owner--to some degree--her king, her chief, the man to whom she swore fealty. What had corrupted Ganondorf so that he had fallen in the way he had? What had changed him? What had altered him? What had possessed him to mistreat her? Nabooru has never understood this. She doesn't seem to comprehend his greed to the extent that it is.

Treasure is one thing. Conquering an entire world is another.

She is astounded by his presence. Does she pretend to be beneath his rule still? He would already know. His two witches are gone, after all.]

Unfortunately, your plan failed. Nice try, though.

[She casts that standard grin, the one she's always given.]

[Ganondorf smirked and tilted his head at Nabooru. It would be to her advantage to acknowledge him as her king. He doesn't need the witches to put her in her place, after all.]

Which, my dear, is why the gods created backup plans.

[Of course. She should have expected something like that. Folding her arms over her chest, mindful of her sword, yet prepared all the same to use it--if she needs to.]

What do you want?

[She's pretty sure she knows the answer. Fairly sure.]
