[It's a peaceful day on Hyrule Field. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and in the general direction of Castle Town, there are some very strange sounds indeed.]
[From the outside, Castle Town looks no different than usual. But the instant you go to investigate the source of the strange noises and step over the threshold, you find yourself in... a Castle Town transformed.]
[For one thing, the occasional horses and carts have been replaced by horseless metal carriages that happen to be moving very fast - you may want to watch your step. The small two-and-three storey buildings have been replaced by massively big... things, reaching high enough to scrape the sky. There are PEOPLE around, all dressed in bizarre and occasionally immodest attire.]
[Oh, and it's suddenly much, much larger.]
[Before you can even respond, a change of clothes poofs in to your hands. You don't need to change in to these clothes, but you may fit in a bit better if you do.]
[Now, what to do next...]
Wha?
Hyrule Castle Town has become a modern-day city! The effects are only limited to the inside of the town and the castle (which has now become a tourist attraction, 15 rupees per tour, leaves hourly). The bombchu bowling alley has become tenpin bowling, the treasure chest game is now an arcade, and the shooting gallery is a... shooting gallery. The markets have become long streets of shops, although - yes - there's a full-sized market taking up an entire city block.
And yes, there are people! These are NPCs, so control them as you will - they all add to the experience of Castle Town as a modern-day, bustling city.
Do feel free to draw your character in their spiffy new modern clothes! It's not a requirement, but it's certainly fun. And, of course, they can stay in their own clothes if they'd prefer.
Any items your character will have on them will stay the same - so no, the Ocarina of Time will not turn in to a kazoo. Although do be prepared to explain why you're carrying a bigass sword around.
If you have any questions, they can be asked
here. Basically, have fun!
