[Japas swims over close and throws an arm out for half of a high-five kind of greeting.]

I could ask you the same, bra! D'you know we're in Hyrule, dude? DUDE!

Yeah, it's totally wild! [Huh, has Mikau been here, and he's just been missing him? Bummer. But hey, no worried, he found him now! And at the best time, too! Open ocean, everywhere you look~! Japas floats on his back, kicking his feet lazily to stay in place.]

[Mikau looks back at the boat.] The talkin' boat's the wildest part. Never saw anythin' like that back home.

[It's weird. He's been wanting to see Japas for what feels like forever, but now that they're both here together, he's at a loss for words.]

[He laughs.] It's just not as crazy without you around.

[Japas talks excitedly, alternately gesturing wildly with his hands and trying to keep himself afloat. Obviously the gesturing is more important.]

I KNOW! Have you SEEN some of the crazy stuff around this place? You wouldn't believe some of the people I met, man! You think I'm out there? They're totally INSANE, for sure!

[It's cool, Mikau. Japas is so excited with all that's gone down that he's got plenty enough to say for both of them.]

Way! We just gotta-- Oh.

[The flailing stops, and he suddenly looks downcast.] Oh man. I lost my baby, 'kau! My bass! I woke up, and it was just gone! Total bummer, man.

I don't know if I've seen what you've seen, man, but what I've seen is pretty out there, all right. Almost enough to make me think I'm on somethin'. [Some of the people here are... wow. He feels kinda bad. When things get too crazy, he can just let someone else deal with it, but Japas is stuck.]

What? Man, that sucks. I bet it's back home, just waitin' on you. [He thinks. He hasn't seen anything here, but...] I know it won't be yours, but you think we could maybe find one 'round here somewhere? Just to borrow?

[He's trying to come up with something to cheer Japas up.]

[As for the bass, Japas looks downtrodden for a moment, but then he's leaning back in the waves again, a contented smile on his lips.]

Bet you're right, bra. My baby's home where she belongs, totes, slumbering peacefully 'til my return. Nothing's loyal like my lady love.

Yeah, I bet she is. Just nappin' away wonderin' when you're gonna come back. [Still, if that bass was here, they could jam. It's been forever since the last time they did that...]

Huh? Oh, yeah, I still have it. Well, I did yesterday. Yesterday there wasn't water everywhere either, so... yeah. I should. [Then again, thinking about it, is it really his guitar? It doesn't matter. It's enough like his he can pretend, if nothing else.]
