[It's been a particularly cold night, and the morning dawns bright and cold. Snow thickly blankets the grass that surrounds Lake Hylia, and the lake itself has been frozen, at least a metre deep, in to a smooth, glassy surface.]
[Anyone who cares to venture on to the lake will find metal skates attached to their footwear. Those going barefoot will find themselves wearing perfectly-fitted boots, the skates attached to those instead. Near the entrance to Zora's Domain and extending far back on to the grass is a snow-free platform, a fire at the end closest to the lake with a seemingly unlimited supply of metal skewers and marshmallows. Further back, the grassy slope is perfect for snowball fights (friendly, of course), snow forts, and snowmen.]
[A wooden sign near the lake entrance reads, 'Be genteel, don't draw steel :)' (complete with smiley face). Offenders will find themselves punted to the top of a tree somewhere near the lake entrance.]
