A nugget of (paraphrased) wisdom from the men's bathroom in Barus & Holley (the engineering/math hall)

We as humans are inherently selfish; everything we do is for our own benefit. We eat to keep ourselves alive and to savor the flavors. We help others in hopes that in return others shall help us. We find cures for diseases so we can keep our loved ones alive and gain recognition. We believe in God so that we may have a friend and escape the fires of hell. We are inherently selfish beings. And what of you my friend? You are here because you are selfish, as all people are. You're here for the empty feelings of satisfaction, the stench of ecstasy. So revel in it and enjoy your nature.
