Couple things I've been doing recently.
-Vista Beta 2
-Night runs on the Turnbull trails
-Wondering where everyone disappeared to
-Mafia
-Considering teaching physics as well as chem over the summer
-Running

Vista Beta 2 is probably what's occupying my time right now. Microsoft finally let out a patch that annoys the hell out of all of us pirated WinXP users out there. Word comes out the beta for Vista is out and its free so I thought.. hell why not. First thing I notice is installing is way way simpler than installing XP. You go through like 3 pages and then let it install on its own for about an hour. Next thing is the Aero look of Vista. Its smooth and pretty and probably wastes a ton of system resources. I didn't make it dual boot so Vista is now my main OS and its awesome. Took a bit to configure to my liking and figure out how to manuever through some of the settings but I'm liking it. It is a bit buggy with some of my games because its on a totally different structure than XP but its a beta and expected. Its also a bit lagger in games because of who knows what. Functionality wise it seems much more secure than XP though sometimes its just really annoying. It probably makes it safer for those who run through the internet with reckless abandon but for those more experienced... its more of an annoying safety net. Gadgets is probably the coolest thing I've seen so far to come from Vista. Its a little bar that sits on the right which you can stick "gadgets" or little programs on. I believe the code is open source so hopefully we'll see some interesting gadgets to appear in the future. Right now I have date, time, stocks, and cpu/memory meter on my bar. Kinda weak right now but should prove to be rather interesting.

I don't feel like righting much more right now so I'll leave it at that. Cheerio
