Summary: Aiba likes Engrish.
Notes: JARKFIC. A reference to ABC's "Star Seeker".
The first time Sho hears it, he doesn't flinch... much. The second time, he gets curious.
When Aiba-chan starts using "jark" frequently in everyday conversation, though, he has to draw the line.
"Aiba-chan."
Aiba stops humming abruptly and looks at Sho. "Hm?"
"It's not a real word." Sho uses his softest, most matter-of-fact-while-still-being-gentle tone.
"Ehhh?" Aiba's already far beyond the lyrics he was singing that caught his friend's attention.
"'Jark' is not a real word. I looked in the dictionary."
"Of course it's a real word. I use it all the time. And it's in a song, so it has to be real." Aiba logic. For added effect, he bursts into song: "It's jark in my soooooooul~ So--"
"Right," Sho cuts him off with a gentle sigh and a wave of his hand. "I'm sure the dictionary just doesn't have it."
Sho wonders why it's so hard to disagree with Aiba, anyway.

Summary: Subaru shows Yasu how he feels.
I don't know why I'm... This is ridiculous. A, G... Shit... Subaru's fingers slip on the neck of the guitar again and he swears under his breath. His hands are sweating.
The man sitting beside him doesn't notice. He's lost in his own little world. But Subaru looks at Yasu and it becomes a little harder to swallow, suddenly. He flipped a coin this morning, as usual. For the first time, it landed on heads.
So, he is nervous. His palms are slick and his mouth feels dry and his stomach starts to ache like it is going to cave in on itself. With an exaggerated sigh, he pushes the guitar away a little. It's impossible.
Yasu looks up at him briefly and flashes that sweet, killer smile that shows all the joie de vivre that any man could have; the most perfect smile in the world, as far as Subaru is concerned. It calms him a little.
Once Yasu goes back to plucking at his own guitar's strings, Subaru steels his nerves. It's easy. Just one little movement, and he'll get the point across entirely. Three. Two. One.
His movements are too quick and poorly planned and the guitars faintly clack together as Subaru closes the distance between his face and Yasu's. He hesitates, but before Yasu can look up the deed is done: one small, almost insignificant kiss to the corner of his lips.
Yasu glances at Subaru and smiles, then ducks his head and giggles. Subaru frowns for a moment. Yasu looks back at him, eyes glittering.
"You missed."
Subaru gets it right next time.
