Yeah, that's sort of why I want people to read it after Rising Sun. I like the discomfort her cryptic comments cause. I think it sets the tone for the entire interpretation of the 'verse, because it's not meant to be something that is comfortable or familiar. I don't intend for it to be frightening, but definitely to make people think and to look at something they'll never experience. /RAMBLE

But then again, in my opinion (and if you go on to Prelude), what the robots think gets perverted and turns into power hunger. It's sort of what humans have done, in a sense. We must save the planet, we must save people from themselves, we must save this and that. Only, unlike humans, right NOW it's not the robots' doing. Eventually, the robots want to be God just as much as the humans who created them did. But the double message, and the lack of clarity, is again part of the discomfort of the 'verse. I definitely don't intend to make anyone pity the robots, or even to attempt to understand their motives. In the end, and by the time it reaches that point (Rising Sun), the robots have decided that propaganda is a means to an end, and you get sort of a totalitarian rule/martial state.

I'm sorry for rambling, but I feel good that someone is taking this in a way that I intended it! So I thought I'd just elaborate... Where someone might care. ^^;;;;;

I ENCOURAGE THINKING! This is a thinky 'verse, IMO. If it doesn't make some people think and consider, then it's not hitting the mark I've aimed for.

Thank you SO much for your feedback!

I completely didn't think that far lol

but yea, I got that too, from re-reading prelude, that the first motives of the robots did change. and it makes complete sense too. the created takes on the creator's flaws. ends up being worse. pretty ironic.

may sound stupid but the only time I felt bad for robots, was when a few years ago they came out with the animated Matrix videos and one of them should the history of the rise of the machines. it added a humanity image to the machines. felt weird to feel bad for something that was metal and wires.
though in your verse, I felt bad for humans because.. well.. not sure why. guess because I like doing mundane things? lol I'm not sure.

and no problem! if you plan on writing more I'm definitely looking forward to it ^^
