First Status Report of the Year
I thought I'd ought to sit and type something up before I went to bed. A little status report, if you will.
I've seen all of Sherlock's first season, thanks to jabber_moose, and I am in love with it. A beautiful way to make me start thinking in a British accent again, and to start remembering those turns of phrase and little quirks of British English. (It's Mr not Mr., dialogue goes with single ' marks, not double ' marks, and and and...)
I can't promise I'll write anything, but it's just...all's right with the world, etc.
Speaking of writing, I have several writing duties this month, primarily an original piece I'm writing for a story exchange in a chat I frequent (I've passed 1k words on it, now to...well, keep going and write out the rest of the story) and after that (should be done by the 6th, if all goes well) I have the gabriel_bigbang to get after. I have an idea for that, and fortunately the original fic is giving me time to stall and think on that.
After that? Well, right now my plan is as follows: 1) complete the above. 2) Write a Lucifer/Dean mafia AU fic I owe theinsaneeraser. 3) Write a bingo line of dark_bingo fics, as that's due in February-ish and I don't want to have to write five fics in one night or drop out. 4) Slowly work on the rest of the stuff I've signed up for and owe folks, fortunately those are mostly without deadlines.
And, of course, my brain will cheerfully derail me and force me to write Sherlock/John fic or something. But as of right now, that's my plan. I'll get a little farm in Fiji too, with a cat and long-legged sheep and absolutely no holograms to - pardon. Red Dwarf nostalgia struck there.
Right.
Writing woes aside, I do want to get on with my resolution this year and try writing up some things to post that aren't status reports or fic.
Which leads me to a question - would any of you be interested in hearing me...I don't know, review something? Write about a topic? (I happen to have theories on angels, and could blather on about them...)
I can't promise anything - I'll probably wind up writing stuff on why I like writing at the end of a night as opposed to in the morning, or lining down my exact thoughts on angelic hierarchy, or explaining exactly why I like pulling apart pairings and having them reunite years and years later, but whatever! It is my journal and I can put what I want in it.
