Something exciting, a few days late, and a QUESTION
I got my first picture of a mustelid on the camera trap! A lovely adult mink! A MINK, PEOPLE!! THREE OR FOUR YEARS AT THIS AND I FINALLY HAVE A MUSTELID ON CAMERA!
Pictures, you ask?? Pictures are coming, but I am plotting things. Specifically, a blog just for lengthy rambles about my forest escapades, camera trapping, and tracking, a la the amazing Camera Trap Codger. Tips on IDing tracks and scat, and of course lots and lots of pictures.
Would you guys be interested in reading something like that? Would ANYONE? I've been toying with this idea for a long time now. Sure, I do a bit of showing off here, but those posts get buried in all the personal stuff, and I often forego in-depth ranting about tracking and such, getting the feeling that my friends may not be interested in text-heavy posts about literal animal crap.
Aside from the 'should I actually do this?' thing, I'm debating heavily between using Blogger or WordPress. I've never used either, and don't know which would get more exposure or be easier to use or customize. Obviously I want something that people can comment on and discuss through.
And then, I need to think of a title. I keep coming back to some retarded mustelid-related pun like "Stoatally Radical" or some other horrific thing that would turn pretty much everyone away at first glance. I'm awful with titles. XD
