There and back again.

Well i just got back from a short vacation to the wallowa lake and mountian area. They where having their alpine fest going. I had a great time up there got several nice picture of the slightly snow capped mountain range. One thing i love about hte part up there you can pet the wild deer. They will pretty much walk right up to you even. Don't get me wrong they are still wild animals and you need to be careful but having a 4x4 point buck stand there for you to pet them and scritch their ears is something else :). There where several galleries gift shops and bronze foundries in the area as well. paroosed a foundry and several galleries even splurged on an old (but pristine) framed print of a local artist, number 181/450 signed. Spent $75 on a 1/2 or 3/4 size print of 3 wolves in the snow in front of the wallowa ridge line. A very detailed painting i believe it was done in oil. Can't remember off hand. Funney thing was it was from an estate that a doctor got control of when a patient/friend died and was in a gallery acrost the street from the artists gallery. Went over there as well There was this one full size print (i think 36/24 size) that was crisper and more detailed than many photographs. It was of a pair of red wolves in a dicidous forest with a lil light comeing through the fall canopy. The framed print was (in the anti glare glass solid frame) over $900 unframed was $700 Wish he had some small prints of that one it was awsome.
