RABU FEST ^^
Sunday, Josh *finally* came over xD wheeee~ I helped Ben make burgers...not like Josh who was super useless all night xD And there was eating and happy times. Played Mahjong with Fanny, Twitchy and Josh...who had just learned to play that *day*, and whose lack of game manners made twitchy complain like the crotchety old man he is ^^ We also watched "Reefer Madness" <3. Okay, its not the best musical *ever*...but omg the campiness xD ...Twitchy eats BABIES. neehehe. And then instead of going to sleep, We were up talking all night ^^ Mostly family issues and gender questions.
According to Josh, a key difference is, women can just use words better, even supposing a male and female with equal vocabulary sets. Which was amusing because then Fanny proved that point repeatedly >_> "Lookout Ben!!! Fanny's using her words!!!"...and then Ben fell into repeated traps and kept digging himself deeper ^^;;
Also, Girls = angry? One thing that I sort of threw out there was that part of the reason women are so *angry* and crazy and fuming and let things fester inside them, because they put themselves second and men put themselves first (in general). I've seen the contraries, of course, but still. My reasoning for this was women *have* to be more social and conciliatory because they have to bear children, and the children have to come first, whereas males wont ever have this responsiblity. Yes, I appreciate that we're human beings and that we're equalizing and stuff, but still, going back to back in the day as influencing us now, I think that partially accounts for it. I dunno I used some weird example involving a bar fight with first a man, and then a woman with a child. In general, when you have a person that puts other people first, it pisses them the fuck off when other people put their own selves first. I mean, not even biologically, but like, people *raise* girls to just *not* put themselves first. Even spoiled little bratty girls -- its assumed something went wrong. Little bratty boys are just beign boys >_> Hence womenz freaking out a lot; and not just womenz, really anyone that's like, semi-considerate, or raised to put themselves second, I guess...no?
Because, you cant really hold something against someone else if you dont *let* them do something bad to you. If you just *leave* them, then you cant grow resentment and let it eat you alive. We were talking about how someone else left their parents, and how that guy didnt have any super psychotic issues with their parents like Fanny or I did. I mean, I dont think this only applies to women, but anyone in a passive position too? I dunno, blaugh.
And we just sort of hung out and <3 at each other-ish. RABU fest ^^v Oddly enough, I didnt even really molest Josh, except for that time earlier in the evening when I was a-bouncing him on my lap "tell auntie val what you want for christmas ~leer~". And then out of nowhere it was 8 am >_> Which was funny because I had to wake up at 9 am to meet Shun and co at the Met -_- So I went to bed and woke up an hour late.
Monday, met up with Susan and Ryan (and later Shirley and Yujie) for Met Fun xD Went to "Americans in Paris" with my bunnies before the others got there. Mwahah. So pretty xD Lol, the "unconventional" self portrait of the dude. I hate how my memory doesnt exist. Pretty things, despite the fact that susan and I had to run around the room to avoid glare because we're so short >_< Saw far too many things that were on my final...and that I realized i got *wrong*. "Look Susan!!! It's that painting from my nightmare!!" aagh. Ryan for some odd reason, is quite good at spotting background voyeurs >_> We picked out pretty dresses xD And decided the proper thing to do when you show up somewhere and see someone wearing the same dress, the only proper course of action is to pretend to be mirror images of each other, DUH. And we got weirded out by the slutty little girls >_> And decided we miss Bob Ross and Yan Can Cook. Ah, PBS.
And looked at paintings by the ORIGINAL poser asians, WHAT. Oh yes. Next time I get poser asian comments I am going to break an American in Paris canvas over someone's head. WHAT NOW??? There was one in particular, but, again, I cant remember the name. Lolz. This amused us because there were these hipster children that were super poser asian and made us giggle xD Though to be honest, they were just "poser" in general, they just happened to have asian flavor stuck in there.
Then Shirley and Yujie showed up and the lesbian antics began and didnt stop ^^;; Hit the Tiffany and Laurelton Hall exhibit first....the colors, duke, the COLORS T_T We came across this gorgeous pavilion which susan has called because she wants to be obnoxious and have a giant pavilion in her house ^^;; And dinner glasses that were *ahem* ribbed for our pleasure ~snicker~. And omg, I totally was unable to breathe when we hit the 4 seasons windows...gaaah, the saturation of color ~passes out~.
We went back and ran around the hall with the Rodin works b/c Yujie is a giant Rodin fangirl and doesnt have the good fortune to live in nyc. See, shun, ryan and myself are our own very self contained tour guide group ~nodnod~. Ryan fixes the cameras and Susan and I provide information and entertainment. KEKEKE.
Susan and I dragged everyone else into "Glitter and Doom" because it is far too much fun to be missed. Shirley lost the Jew game, but Yujie was almost perfect xD "See Yujie, notice how cool Germany was when the Jews were *alive* ~nudgenudge~" Lol, there's a Beckmann self portrait that never fails to make us laugh xD And the German women that all look like men >_>;;; ewww. There's this one pic where the most effeminate figure in the painting is a MAN >_< And Hitler is an emo kid. He has the EMO HAIR, *and* he blames everyone else for stuff *and* he was rejected from art school. Cheer up emo kid ^^ And I wish I wasnt the poorest prostitute ~sigh~. See, Susan's a good prostite; even though the guy was being dragged away by a caucasian woman he was still looking at her >_< ...and wtf with the lesbian snuff porn that scared Yujie...go germany? So then we were at a loss and just wandered around the open sections of Western Art. Taking directions from Susan because no one was listening to Ryan even though he was right >_> Sorry ryyaaannn ~tackles~
So we wandered around and there was much SURPRISE! Jesus, which was amusing. lol, we showed her the Devil givign the apostles the Brooklyn Salute xD We <3 that stained glass window. And wtf, we havent been able to find that St Mark wall tapestry for a while now >_< WTF, I miss St Mark and his giant dong. We *tried* to impress upon her the greatness of Caravaggio but PFF, she doesnt like the little boys like i do. But, she was impressed by Caravaggio's police record xD "WTF, an *artichoke*!??" Omg, and in the gallery right at the top of the stairs there was this *incredibly* STUPID woman that was pointing right *at* the Death of Socrates, like, 2 centimeters away. It's like, "Whats wrong with you woman!!?!??" I wanted to say something, but instead I cringed and hoped she would go away. And the museum guard yelled at her ^^ SOME PEOPLE ARRGH.
We showed her the sculpture garden and the amusing Greek urns. "Look look! He's gettign kicked in the crotch! And, and, in THIS one, this guy is topping the other one and he's about to insert 4 fingers xDD" Took a break in the American Wing garden thing. pretty fountain things that were momentarily in danger: "No Susan, nailing Pan in the crotch is a *bad* idea". Arms and Armor was similarly fun. Honestly, we have a whole outfit picked out for Ryan, THE BUNNY WARRIOR. Mwhaha. He even has the acessories xD Fawned over weapons, took amusing pictures of Shirley and Yujie runnign from the cavalry. Laughed at the uselessness of some of the Italian and French armor which was so pansy. "The Italians havent had a good army since...Rome >_>" Whereas the German armor was scary T_T And had futuristic curves and scary spiky things. Run awaaaaaay.
Finished up at the Soup Burg, as is tradition; or at least has been since our last diner closed T_T We hung out at Starbucks on this little teeny cushion that was way too tiny for us ^^ After Shirley and Yujie left me and Ryan started passing out on Susan >_> So she comvinced us to go..but not before we detoured into a pet shop xD I want a siamese cat T_T They;re so pretty~~
So today I was walking to the subway, and I tried to remember what happened this week, and I drew a complete blank. Beyond the past 24 hrs, things were pretty blank other than remembering I was living with Travel Freak Hall. ...~thunk~. Like, even now, writing this, I know I'm missing a lot, because, my memory is like a sieve. Like, I had to think hard to remember this. Which is disturbing. I suppose I hit the lj and pictures so much because I would have no sense of who I am or how I got here without them >_>
