I think I figured out why I've not been cooking real food nearly as much as I used to. Back when I was still taking classes, it was a lot clearer what I had to do, how to do it, and when I'd done "enough". So, I could freely commit a Saturday evening or suchlike to cooking something for the week. Now, since I'm doing fuzzily-structured research work only and am perpetually behind, I always need those blocks of time to try to catch up. And, even quickies like a 20-minute prepared meal get the boot, because when I'm having trouble focusing and getting any work done, they smell awful lot like excuses to avoid work s'more.
(Also, I tend to snack to try to stay focused, which means I'm not hungry at mealtimes.)
