Weird Weather
It was almost 70 degrees on Wednesday. Everyone was eating lunch outside and I could see people in shorts from my office. It was very strange.
Visiting last weekend for my grandma's birthday was wonderful. On Saturday evening I played games with my brother and his wife (Machikoro, Wizard, and Sushi Go!, which was new). Sunday, I got to go to church, which was nice since I didn't get a chance to do that over Christmas/New Years. On Sunday we went to my aunt and uncle's, and I got to play with my nephew and also play a few games with my cousins -- Machikoro (again, although the purple cards are so dumb), and a new pirate board game (Jamaica). And even after we got done with that, I got to play some more wizard and Catan with my sister and parents. And me and a couple of my cousins chose a book for a book club, and I read most of it on the bus back to Madison. So a very nice weekend.
It was only a four-day week at work, which was kind of nice. Although I was having fun working on a new project at work. Now if only I didn't have to fill out an expense report... that's overdue.. where I can't figure out how to upload my receipts...
I went to group strength class twice last week. Maybe if I can keep that up, I'll finally get a little stronger.
My visa for China came! Now I just need to get a move on for preparing for it. I haven't even started my poster, and my slides need work. It's hard to work on it after I get home from my actual job.
Today and tomorrow morning I'm back in the Twin Cities to go to dinner theater for my Grandma's belated Christmas present. So that's fun, although today I mostly worked on catching up on things. Still, it will be nice to see the family and to go to church tomorrow.
