Old Faithful
Today we went to the main geyser basin with Old Faithful and the other famous geysers. On our way there, we stopped at some of the other geysers that were a little farther away, although we didn't see any of them erupt.
We went to the visitor center to see the exhibits, although many of them were similar to ones we had seen elsewhere. We also watched the 15 minute movie, but a lot of it was just reminding people to be safe and follow the rules.
That finished in time for us to catch the next eruption of Old Faithful. After that, we wandered around looking at other geysers and hot springs in the area. We were able to catch both Daisy and Riverside geyser erupting.
The ranger talk was on the power of words about Yellowstone, and I really liked it. She told us about some of the tall tales that the early trappers and mountain men told, as well as talking about things like the publicity materials from the railroads.
