I went to Driver's Ed last night.
My first public school class ever. It was, um, confusing? Not the driving instructions, or the 1982 video, just the question part! I can take notes fine, but it was when we had to "read" in the Drive Right book (which Newark is too poor to have enough copies to actually give us one) where I got confused. First off, I started actually reading the book before I realized that like everyone else was just answering the questions. Public School Lesson #1: Don't actually read it. So I flipped to the page with the questions and saw that it gave you what page the answers were on. Public School Lesson #2: Everyone's an idiot (and yet so convenient). But then, I didn't know how to layout my answers. Do I write the question, and then the answer, or just the answer? I figured since some people didn't even have notebooks, just writing the answers would be satisfactory. So I wrote 1.) my answer to #1 etc., etc., etc. After he said we didn't have to finish it that night, I was relieved. Actually...I forgot that we were only supposed to do until question #8...so I'm done. But I'm going to ask Mikey about it, since he's gone to public school before. Not only all that, but I have to write a report (five paragraph essay style) and make a poster on drunk driving, make a notebook and keep all of my notes and handouts organized by date and clip 7 (10 for extra credit, w00t) articles about motor vehicle collisions.
I think tonite I will type up all of my notes from last night, and try to decipher them. Or actually, maybe I'll do that now, since no one seems to be at school for me to hang with (aka Noey).
Anywho, that was my little adventure last night. =)
