What a day!

Wow! What a crazy day today has been! I had managed to get free tickets for the World Freerunning championships in Trafalgur Square so the afternoon started there. We arrived when the doors were meant to open but the doors actually opened half an hour later. Thank god we didn't come earlier. Initially, we went up to the top stairs to watch, and sat on the railings. We watched the amazing freerunners (some better than the others) but the atmosphere was well... just ok. The biggest cheers were for the British competitors an the amazing Diversity (from Britain's Got Talent). I love those guys! They performed an extended version of their final routine.

So, in the actual competition, 2 Brits made it to the final and one crazy dancing guy made it too (he has waaaay too much energy). Most of the athletes were young but there was a 29 year old and 32 year old (I think). At the end of the heats, my brother hopped off the railings for a minute and much to our annoyance, some youths had taken the place an refused to give it back! Grrrrrrrr! There was an interval so we had a walk around (not much to see) and then managed to find some pretty decent seats on the middle of the floor towards the side (near the fountains). Cue more annoying people, including one girl who shoved my brother off the area near the fountain (aaarrrggghhh! So selfish) and people smoking in our faces! I don't understand how that can be allowed!

There was one AWESOME beat boxer who actually made one hymn really interesting. He was just unbelievable and realistic! The actual final was AMAZING and the atmosphere electrifying! I have no idea how they do this stuff! This American dude stood on one thin bar and did a flying somersault to land on the other bar! However, to the crowd's delight, the British dude Tim won (and took off his shirt after :p) and everyone went home happy!

However, the best part of the day was to come! I came home to news that Arsenal had hammered Everton (awesome! Bet few expected that!) and settled down to watch Andy Murray vs Tsonga. What a nerve wracking murraycoaster of a match but

ANDY MURRAY WILL BE NUMBER 2 IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Is nice to see Andy answering his critics like this. Yes, Nadal may get that back, but what a milestone for Andy to reach!

Oh yeah, and Andy is through to the Canada Masters final!
