Pigeons

Pigeons are present at most historic monument locations in India.  In New Delhi, they are present not only around all the major monuments, but also at Connaught Place.  I used to sit on a block or a stair and watch them fly to and from the pavements.  The Karnataka High Court, Bangalore has many pigeons.  There is a distinct glare in their flight in front of the High Court, because most of them are grey and their wings reflect the morning light.  What also interests me is that people like watching pigeons.  In front of Taj Bombay, near the Gateway of India, I have seen people, young and old, watching pigeons fly in and out for hours.  There are people I have seen come to the Mecca Masjid premises in Hyderabad, just to observe pigeons.  There will be a toddler who will try to run towards the birds and they will fly off only to come back to flick wheat grains off the course floor.

My father had about 24 pigeons at last count before the doctor advised him that pigeons cause allergy harmful for asthma and he finally gave them to my uncle.
