I always liked Bombay from the start.  It is an immensely beautiful city.  It has everything.  For example when I wanted certain Jazz notation books and broke my head everywhere else in the country to find used books, including Bangalore, a dusty old store called Furtado's in Metro, Bombay sold me the three-book volume for almost the price of a ( Read more... )

Film was Ilford PAN 100, lens was Sigma 28-105mm, F2.8 at 28mm.

"Something" because I am not really sure about what I like about the picture -- you know, the right term for that certain quality I happened to like. New to B&W, you know.

This Sigma is a lovely lens! Not suitable at all for wet climate, still.

New??? You shot some nice rangefinder shots. Plus you say kind things.

Sigma is good but is not for wet conditions. I remember reading how to make a polythene wrapper to protect a camera when it rains. That comes handy. But there is loss of clarity if one uses it.
