Fair Trail [concluded]: The Last Dance

Jul 21, 2006 05:24

This definitely was not the last dance performance that I saw at the Surajkund Mela.  I am glad a lot of people got to see this beautiful lady dancing in swirls.

I left the beautiful dancers and went and watched a Phag dance performance.  Phag is a dance performed by males of North Indian farmer communities.  The dancers shake their hips and legs to the beautiful music.  I went back to Delhi after that last performance.  The next day I flew to Bangalore.  So I left three cities behind within 6 days.  Poona, Bombay and Delhi.

I conclude Fair Trail until of course I plan to trail fairs / events in South India.

folk performers of india, surajkund - haryana, tribes of india, portraiture
