Last Day in Poona

Jan 31, 2006 16:56

These days, I have been walking the city like anything, especially Camp.  I met with Fahimbhai the other day, who owns one of the 25-odd mutton shops at Shivaji Market, and Akbarchacha who sells local eggs outside the market and said goodbye to them.  They are people I regularly socialised with to understand their point of view of life and other things.  I will miss them.  And on Saturday, while MG Road in Poona walked, I was busy processing the rolls of my last shoot in Poona.

This sweet looking girl took her time to get me that smile.  She studies elementary math and Marathi inside Door Step School's School-On-Wheels bus.  She lives at the slums facing the Civil Courts in Poona.  Her eyes told me about her dream.
