Random anecdote:
I really love The Jetsons. Not that I imagine that you're surprised, which an LJ name like "zeerust", but it's true. I really do.
Just the other day, my mom reminded me that when I was little (so little that my mom and dad still lived together: I was maybe two), I had a period of about two weeks wherein I told everyone who would listen that I wanted to marry Judy Jetson when I grew up.
I wonder what happened? Clearly no real woman could live up to Miss Jetson.
(Proof that as far as my age is concerned I'm an "in-betweeny" - I grew up on reruns of the original series of The Jetsons. The "new" series (the episodes from 1985 - 1987) showed up when I was 8-10. And obviously I was already enamored of Judy Jetson by that point.)
(The only memories I have of watching The Jetsons as a child are really hating Judy. I don't know why I wanted to marry her.)
(Did anyone else notice that Jane must have been 18 when she had Judy? Why is no one outraged by the teen mom? ;) )
