shortly before one this bus with what appeared to be runners inside started riding down embarcadero and right when it was turning some protesters jumped in front to stop it. they assumed the torch was in there. the police said it was empty but who knows. they eventually got out of the way but not before jumping on the front and writing "free tibet" on the side.

it was quite the day. it made my heart very sad. i wish i could write all about it but i don't have the energy to even capitalize my sentences. everything from standing for hours not knowing what the fuck is going on to meeting chinese people that were actually flown in from china by their government to provoke protesters has me physically and mentally exhausted.
tom and i got interviewed by mtv and if they post it online then i guess i'll link it (if we're even in it) but these chinese people interrupted and started asking tom questions regarding the situation in tibet, defending china, but tom handled it amazingly well. mtv guy got it all on camera but it probably won't make it in whatever they're doing. there were a lot of civil and articulate arguments going on with the people i was with but there were also people spitting at each other, yelling in each others faces, and snatching signs/flags. shit's just crazy. i don't care what you think or say. you can't justify the killing of another human being. the end.
