So. It's been a while since I've done one of these posts up. (The amount of fics I have left to rec is pretty long. *facepalms* See, if I did these whenever I got to a certain amount, I wouldn't have these issues, but do I? Oh no, I just keep collecting links until I finally decide I need to actually, you know, post recs.
So, without all that much more ado - all seven of these fics are panic at the disco centric. Three of them are Panic GSF, one is Gen/pre-GSF, one is Brendon/Jon, one is Jon/Spencer, and one is Jon/Ryan. ALSO, I blame this all on
solar_cat. (Fresh blood, omnomnom).
That being done, now the fun part!
Pretty Good Company by
cmonkatiekatie is one of (well, many) fics from
bandombigbang that I have waiting to be rec'ced. It's Jon/Brendon, and I love it a rather indecent amount. Brendon accidentally bought a town (which, if that doesn't get you to read it, what is wrong with you?) because Jon thought it was pretty. *G* I seriously adore this one - it's just a quiet simple fic, but the writing is beautiful. Read it, I promise you won't be disappointed.
And then it's
Sometimes I long to be landlocked by
tequilideas which is a Jon/Spencer fic. Panic at the disco decides to do other things, and Spencer decides to bake. Er, otherwise known as Spencer has NO IDEA what to do without panic, so he goes to Chicago. And ends up living with Jon and dating him without realizing it at all (they do stuff like, oh, watching tv shows on the phone together when separated and then they decide to buy a house together, but still don't realize they are dating). *G* It's very awesome. And I can't help it if I have favorite tropes, and this fic is an awesome example of said trope. (And once you read that, read the
coda!).
And next it's
Kings of New York by
java_genie, which is Jon/Ryan. Guys, I don't even know! This fic makes me smile! There are misunderstandings and lack of communication. Ryan spends every summer at his Aunt's home in New York, and he drags Spencer along one summer (and then lots of summers afterward). But anyway *handwaves* Ryan's Aunt dies and Jon is hired to restore part of the house and that's when the misunderstandings and everything come in. *G*
Right, and after that, we have
And Some You Do For by softlyforgotten, which is gen/pre-slash. This fic is so very awesome. Ryan is a wizard and he shows up in Thornton Hills. His shop! *flails* I could live in his shop for forever. And there are adventures into the next realm, and all the little illustrations sprinkled through it are absolutely marvelous. It looks like a slightly older fantasy novel, and I absolutely adore the writing. I reread this IMMEDIATELY upon finishing it, because it's just that good. There's codas
here.
And the last three are all panic GSF *G* (because all roads lead to Panic GSF)
Spyro! (Or, The One Where Spencer is a Small Purple Dragon) by
solarcat/
solar_cat. I will take any and all blame for this fic. *flails* Spencer goes out to hunt a dragon, and gets turned into a purple dragon! Ryan is a flaily wizard, and Jon is a tavern keep and it is just perfect! Brendon is a bard! Of course he's a bard! No, seriously, I adore this fic a lot and *handwaves* Made of win and awesome.
After that, we have
If so my stay may be very interesting by
just_katarin. Hi, I love vampires. Vampires are really awesome. Especially flaily domestic vampires like so. The fic starts out Ryan/Brendon/Spencer, and ends up GSF. Ryan likes Tom's photography, and meets Jon at a joint show, and starts dating him. Then, he tells Jon he's a vampire, and it's like fail!courting Jon to join their vampire-family.
Lastly, we have
Time and Time Again (and Again, and Again) by
formerlydf. So, I really love magical realisim. And reincarnations. And Panic GSF. So this fic just managed to combine several things I love into one awesome fic. (Ryan and Spencer expect to see UNICORNS the first time they see Brendon ♥) But anyway, there's lots of little things that are happening that should seem odd, but don't seem odd until the next day, and by then they aren't really thinking about it. *hands* I just really loved it!
