FOTW: Part 11 (due South)
So, I had texted thisisthesmile, asking what I should do next, and she said due South. *G*
Therefore, today's rec post (really, yesterday's, whatever) is due South. Weeee. I love due South fandom and all that it is, and hey - the due south secret santa archive just went live the other day, so there are plenty of fics to read. However, this rec list is going to be older stuff, because I am feeling nostalgic. Er, all of these fics are Rayk/Fraser, because that is what QS reads.
Ray Is Not Actually Graphing The History Of His Relationship With Fraser--That Would Be Pathetic, And Ray Is Not Pathetic--But If He Was Graphing It, Even Just In His Own Stressed-Out, Messed-Up Brain, It Might Look Something Like This by sprat. So, hands down, one of my most favorite fics I have ever read in any fandom. I mean, I have a lot of fics like that, but still. One of my favoritest. I love fics that do alternative ways of telling the story. This one has graphs. *hearts*
There are misunderstandings, and boys being boys, and graphs. Seriously, I love the graphs.
Then, there is Q&A by bethbethbeth (here for her site). It starts off with RayK and Fraser finding out that they have to go on one of those 'being-better-partners seminars'. And than RayK and Fraser manage to answer all the questions on the sheet since they are best friends, and it goes on from there. It's not that long, but I love it to bits and pieces. *G*
After that, it's Letters by shayheyred and pearl_o. Remember when I said I love alternate story-telling methods? One of my absolute favorites is epistolary. Mhmmm, letters. I love this fic so much, I can't really articulate it. Beyond the fact that anything those two write is golden, so when you throw in epistolary ? I'm sold.
Next up is Girls Girls Girls by brooklinegirl. For reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, Ray is a girl. I really really love reading sex and genderswap fics, and this fic is hot. I mean, it's brooklinegirl, so it should go without saying, but still. Hot. I adore it to pieces. Little itty-bitty pieces. (Okay, and it's kind of amazing to see Ray's reactions in what is pretty much a PWP.
Lastly, we have The Three Second Answer by seperis. I don't even know where to start with this fic. It's just perfect. Like that slice of pumpkin pie that is just hot enough to start melting the vanilla bean ice cream on top. There is nothing better than a fic where RayK accuses Fraser of kidnapping him. This is the perfect fic to read on a day when I need a laugh. *G* Sorry, I'm finding it difficult to really summarize without giving anything away, but it's by seperis, so how much do you really need to know?
