Emo Battle

O:
I remember the wisps of winter air
Which like bullets pierced through me and my love,
For the dead leaves on the ground
Showed me what was bound to happen as in
Years a slumber our love would seal
And crushed and broken on concrete we would lie.
D:
The gentle embraces of your love tickle me,
More sensitively than the acute pain of your absence.
Your presence warmer than myburning heart,
Warmer than this giant fire-place,
In which you became withered and dessicated,
A victim of your own embers
O:
And yet with my ash and defeat I vividly remember,
The cigarette ash flying into your eyes that august evening,
Blinking you revealed that beauty too can have it's imperfections
And that to know that our love can exist despite all is beauty in itself.
