how can u not know what a dust storm is....

So Im back in Tucson. It’s the start of the monsoon season, so I will get the rain that I missed in GA. I’m staying with my grandparents… who have dial up… /cry. I love my car (it’s a trooper).

DAY 1
I drove from Denver (to get my new/used BLUE Honda civic yr 91) to Tucson. I thought the road trip was going to be uneventful... I was very wrong. It was only suppose to take 15 hours in 2 days, it actually took ~22 hours in 2 days. The car was making a funny noise about 2 hours after we left Denver. It sounded like the back wheel was going to come off. The rest of the day our average speed was 65-70… and 60 for the last 2 hours (highway speed =75). it was miserable and SLOW…. It looked like we were going over the same hill 500 times.

I approached a storm for 1.5 hours and by the time I finally got there the storm was gone and only the wind was left.

The drive was straight with the stereotypical rolling hills of the planes states and very windy.

We still had no idea what the noise was. It wasn’t the brakes, or the axle, or the bearings (whatever those are). My uncle replaced about 20 things so he was thinking that one of the parts were defective… he was stressing out.

DAY2
We spent the night in Alberquery, New Mexico (cant spell…). In the morning we went to a Firestone… and after 2.5 hours of my uncle and the 2 mechanics fussing about the annoying noise they found out it was just a loose piece of plastic…. Some lame piece of plastic made me slow down to 60 b/c I thought the wheel would fall off…. They glued the plastic down and we started driving again.

We got on our way and discovered that we still didn’t know the cause of the sound…. We do know something rattles every time a cross wind blows over my car above 75 mph.

We where making grate time, I thought we would get to Tucson at 7:30-ish…. But no the weather was bad, and I had a cold...(apparently I’m very sensitive to pressure changes when I’m sick).

It attempted to rain twice…. The third storm was a dust storm. For those who don’t know, its when the “Santa Anna” winds blow the loose soil into the air… it looks like a big white cloud coming up from the ground…. Visibility was only 200 ft (I guess). We stopped at “Love’s” truck stop but by the time we were done the on-ramp was closed… by the time we got around to go straight the entire interstate (I 10) was closed. The AZ part of I 10 had lots of dust storms with zero visibility and lots of accidents. We had to take a detour that was about 2 hours of added time… lame slow roads that were only 65mph… (every one went 75 at least). One of he alternate routes was 666 (on newer maps it says 191 lol).

The second day was better b/c we could at least go the speed limit, but worse b/c of the storms and my cold (which sucked)

I feel like I drove for 15 of the 22 hours… it was tiring and I still have jet-lag even tho I didn’t fly…
The subject question is rhetorical… and I was playing with
“wooly willy” while writing this…
I have been watching world cup every day (except today b/c there were no games). I really like #7 for Spain he’s cute… only Spain is out /cry

Good night sorry for taking up SOO much room…
