So a couple friends that I've made at OU that live in West Chester, Charlotte & David and I went to King's Island last Tuesday which was most awesomeness. It was overcast and drizzling on and off all day, so of course the lines were all really short. We went on Dellirium twice, Face-off, Vortex twice, Beast, Racer, Outer Limits, Italian Job, Adventure Express, and the Scooby Doo shoot 'em up ride. Toward the end, I started to feel rather woozy and uneasy from the rides, so Charlotte and David went on Son of Beast without me. We were going to ride it earlier, but people were leaving the line then saying that both trains had vomit on them from people who just rode. Not too appetizing if you ask me (eww, Alex!). Later on, knowing that I wouldn't want to add my own similar contribution, I decided to skip the ride. What wound up happening though, because of the short lines, David and Charlotte got to ride in the very front with the entire train to themselves. 'Twas interesting. They said it made the cars go faster. I'll believe it.
Oh oh. And at the arcade, I did a little Cruisin' USA and placed #1 fastest time for this one race I did. I'm a little proud of myself for that. Too bad it was on the expensive side, or I would have raced more.
There was this other game at the midway that had crazy awesome prizes. Like this really cool looking huge turtle that looked really good quality. Heh, I was trying to picture how it would look in my dormroom. In addition to the humongous stuffed animals, they also had Game Boys and Xboxes and PS2s and digital cameras as prizes. Insane, no? It probably was worth a shot with those prizes. Oh well.
The camera poses we did around the park were enjoyable. Since there was three of us, logically 1 or 2 of us would be in front of the other on the rides. This made for some interesting pics where the front seat rider was none the wiser. I bought one of the pictures that was taken. Sort of as a fun memory, y'know?
After KI, I went to a get-together at Carissa's house. Tyler called me while I was still at King's Island and told me about it, so of course I was all for it. There was about 8 of us from Clark '04 there as well as some other people. We watched some of the Teen Choice Awards which was eh. But then she whipped out her new copies of The Adventures of Pete and Pete from old school Nickelodion. You remember it right? If not, you have missed a valuable portion of our generation's childhood. Anyway, it was amazing goodtimes. Scratch that. Awesomely amazing godlike greattimes. We were the most nostalgic group you'd ever want to see. After a couple episodes of P&P, we switched to this cable channel that I never knew was in existence. It was NickGaS. Nickelodeon Games and Sports. We watched these old episodes of Global Guts and Double Dare. Apparently Legends of the Hidden Temple would be on later, but it was time for all of us to go. I REALLY hope that a lot of these old shows get put on DVD. I know Ren & Stimpy already is. Such an integral part of my childhood. Yay happiness!
Well, I get home before midnight, and everyone in my house has gone to sleep. I forgot that my sister and brother have started classes already, making that a school night. Not fair for them. My summer is still going. For now. Usually my parents would still be up watching King of the Hill or something, but nothing but a dark house to greet me. Conan O'Brien was decent tonight though. They did a "In the year 2000..." segment with Mr. T. One of the things that was said went like:
In the year 2000...
Pope Benedict will name a preparation of eggs after himself, calling it eggs benedict.
After being informed that eggs benedict already exists, he will legally change his name to Pope Huevos Rancheros.
It made me bounce in my seat to give you an idea.
I guess that's it. I'm working on The Facebook and DevArt things. It might take a while, but I hope to post some pictures from my trip to Canada soon. And I have an IGA update coming up; just gotta figure out when I'm gonna write it. That's my Tuesday (being the beginning of my weekend (my off days being Tuesday and Wednesday )). Hope you all had a good one!
