Yes, there definitely is at least one person who wanted to know about this :D

I'm glad you had such a fun time! Steve is amazing, isn't he? And all these scholarly discussions about HP - I want them back!!!

Wow, I've already seen a few pics of the conference by... some artist on my flist, and I was reaaaally impressed by the person who wore her wedding gown.

Oh, oh! Did you see unsymbolic - the amazing Lupin? With the scars and all? I wonder whether he gave the same presentation as he did at Sectus... And oh god, I was totally drooling after him back then, I must confess :X ^_^ Ahaha, and the Mrs. Black sure as hell looked like a looooot of fun.

I'm so envious that the lot of you got to watch OotP together! Yes yes, slashers and their (our?) subtext :D I was so grinning to myself whenever Severus said that thing to Harry, 'cause of course I watched the movie in English. It was... *cough* enlightening! Anyway, I wish we could have watched the movie at Sectus...

What were the panels you went to about?

Apparently, someone from my flist said, there's gonna be a con next year in Chicago. But it's just a rumor as of yet, methinks - but wouldn't that be closer to you?

I'll be at Accio 2008, in Oxford, and if I'm still into HP I'll be at Sectus 2. Now that I've had the experience I don't want to miss it ever again! ;)

Wow, I'm lotsa squeey at the moment. Sorry *g*

Was that Lupin you mentioned, with blue hair? Cuz, if it was, wow, he was amazing...and I ate breakfast at his table on the last day and he is really neat...but no, I didn't go to any programming led by him.

Chicago isn't too far, but much further than Toronto was to me...I just talked to my sister, and she is interested in Sectus 2 (and she knows nothing of my online activities, so THAT could be interesting!)

There is definitely one in Dallas, Texas next year (July 10-13, but I don't think I could justify the expense, as we want to take the kids to Disneyland)

I am going to have to look for more pictures out there, as I didn't take that many (and I want one of the blue hair LUpin at the Ball)

Hmpf, the pics I looked at (by hill_) are flocked, so I can't link you :(

No, the Lupin was kinda... well, tiny, and had dark blonde hair *g* But I did see the Teddy (I suppose?) Lupin on the pics, he looked really funny! I really love the Snape who looked like AR does in the movies :D If you know who I mean? 'cause obviously I wasn't there and I don't know how many Snapes there were looking like AR.

Ahaha - yup, that could really be interesting ^_^ Man, it'd still be two years until Sectus 2. I'm kind of a pessimist, so I'm wondering what will happen with fandom during the next two years... Did you hear about the stunt LJ/6A pulled? Links should be all over the place, and I've been talking to a few people from Prophecy over the weekend, updating them... There should finally be a response to fandom's (and non-fandom's, by now) concerns tonight, LJ/6A said. Which means I'll stay awake until they've posted it! But yeah, there's much talk about migrating (and I've already made the decision that I'm gonna go), and I really fear fandom will scatter all over the internet again :(

Man, Blue Hair Lupin was really interesting (read that as HOT).At the ball he was wearing knee high leather boots, a skirt and a...Well, I don't remember, I was stuck looking at the boots/skirt. Then the next morning I just weasled my way into someones table, and then who should appear? Him....( I couldn't tell him he was every lupin/slasher fangirl's dream)

I keep looking at everyone's pictures and just want to cry that it is over.

LOLOLOL. I'm so glad I'm not the only one something like... this... happened to! *g*

I understand what you mean :( But I assure you, after some time this horrible experience of having to say goodbye fades, and although it will always be an unpleasant memory, the immediate pain you're feeling now won't be there anymore...

Good god, I'm sorry. My mood is... ridiculous. And I can't control it. Ignore it? :D

I should go back to writing Lucius/Severus pr0n. Although I fear it'll become cracktacular if I continue like that. *headdesk*

Actually, I thought that was pretty poetic, J.

Really, how are you doing? Life must be in an odd spot for you right now, between getting out of school, and waiting to hear from college...

That was me going psychological - see, that's what I am for my really close RL friends - their personal psychologist if they need it. That's where this came from. But obviously I was saying that with an *eyeroll* in my head, because I don't think you need psychological advise from me about that! Now that you say it, though... I could actually incorporate it in a story. Hmmm :D

I don't know that it's an odd spot - I've been out of school for more than four months now, and I must admit it was... anti-climactic because I had a huge bout of depression from January till June, so I'd already been distancing myself from everything. By now I'm really feeling annoyed more than anything, though, because the impression that Germany and bureaucracy are synonyms is totally correct - all these forms I have to fill in, the agencies and job centers and what-not I have to go to! I already have appointments as far away (do you say that when it's about time?) as the middle of September. My problem is, I won't be admitted to university - I already got a rejection letter (?) from one of them; I need to hear back from three more. I do have a chance of getting into North American Studies - but then, do I want that? I mean, what could I do with a BA in that, here in Germany? I could be a liaison to an American office or something, I guess, but then, would I get a job like that? Or I guess I could go work in the US or, preferably, in Canada... But then, I don't know whether the culture would suit me. I've seen people come back really changed - for the worse, in my eyes - from the States.

Anyway, I gotta figure out whether I want to get into that program. If I don't - which is likely - I need either a job right away, or I need a professional training thingy - don't know whether an equivalent for that exists in Canada? Something where you work in an office/organization/whatever for about 2.5-3 years, where they teach you how to do... stuff?

I talked to xterm (who was at Prophecy) about possibilities to work in Canada, actually, because I prefer the country over the States, and I want to get to know North American culture for a while, but I don't think that's anything I can really do - flights are too expensive :( And education fees - oh my! No way!

Btw, do you have any messenger?
