I had a pretty good weekend. I got to party for Allison's 21st on Friday, went to Oktoberfest, and saw my mom's play last night. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I was lookin' pretty sharp last night. I wore my black pants, black high heels, a red top, and my black pin-striped blazer to the play. Everyone kept telling me I looked awesome and my Aunt Tobi, who called me "fatso" last time she saw me, said I look like I've lost weight. SCORE! I'm so proud. I guess the best part of losing weight is when you don't realize you have and then suddenly, everyone starts to tell you that you look thinner and better and healthier. Fo' sho'.
But I guess the absolute best part of this weekend was watching my mom sing karaoke twice in one evening. After the play was over on Saturday night, she invited me out to McDonough's to hang out with the cast. Stefanie got so drunk and was so cute and I also got to see Kyle, so that was really fun. We danced together. He is a blast, lemme tell ya! I was proud of my mom even if she wasn't completely awesome. She was really nervous to get up there and sing, but she did it! I sang too, and I haven't done karaoke in like, 2 years. I know it's not professional singing in any sort of way, but hey, it's fun, so what the hell? It's the best when people in the audience are listening and you can hear them say things to each other like "Wow, she's actually good!" I think it's so sad how the majority of people who sing karaoke think they're really good when they stink. You just feel for them, ya know?
Anyway, I'm hungry and it's lunchtime, so I've gotta go.
