Thanks for the cool High School meme

1. Who was your best friend? Hayley
2. What sports did you play?
Ick - sport! I didn’t play sport. I gladly dropped PE in 6th form when it wasn’t compulsory anymore!
3. What kind of car did you drive?
I didn’t have a car. My parents drove me, or I caught a ride with Hayley’s parents.
4. It's Friday night, where were you at?
Usually home. Some Friday night (like, once every couple of months) we’d go see our mates playing in bands. In senior year I was trying to get into the pubs though, LOL!
5. Were you a party animal?
Not really, more of a rock chick, I liked going out to gigs to see bands with my mates.
6. Were you in the "In Crowd"?
*pfft* No way! I would have to have been straight to get into the In Crowd at an All Girls school!
7. Ever skip school?
Yup, usually to smoke at the park next to our school, a couple of times to go shopping, and once to have a beer at the pub - this was a novelty once most of our friends turned 18 near the end of our senior year!
8. Ever smoke?
Yup, I tried it when I was 14. I keep getting caught. Hayley’s parents smoked, so it was easy to nick smokes and then go down to the park and hide in the bushes.
9. Were you a nerd?
Not really, but I was a Muso, there were only six of us in 6th and 7th form Music, and we were a little geeky about our music, to the point where we’d spend lunch times playing instruments and working on our compositions.
11. Who was your favorite teacher?
My music teacher, Judith Donaldson.
12. Favorite class?
Music and English.
13. School mascot?
We didn't have one.
14. Did you go to Prom?
Yup. In 6th form I took a male friend of mine, and in 7th form I took a female friend of mine, and wore a wig so I looked like Cleopatra. Yeah, I was a little quirky….
15. If you could go back and do it over, would you?
Yeah maybe, I wouldn’t worry so much about not being cool or not being in a clique. Maybe I wouldn’t have abandoned those geeks I started being friends with in 3rd Form, oops….
16. What do you remember most about graduation?
They call it Prize Giving in New Zealand. They have Prize Giving at the end of every year, but at the end of my senior year, the one hilarious thing I remember was dyeing my short pixie-cut hair a bright orange-red and then having to stand at the back of the orchestra (up on a stage in the main theatre in Palmy-town) for the whole ceremony, and everyone could see my hair from the audience, this little bright orange blob bobbing up and down every time we had to stand up to play.
17. Favourite memory of your Senior Year?
My 18th Birthday party, the entire world came it was fantastic!
18. Did you have a job your senior year?
Sort of, just baby sitting on and off for various people on our street.
19. Who did you date?
Er, too many guys! I started dating when I was 14, but most of them were rather immature relationships. The most significant was this really hot guy called Nathaniel who lived about an hour away from Palmerston, he was a year older and we lasted for 5 months.
20. Where did you go most often for lunch?
My mum or dad made me a packed lunch. I was never allowed to buy lunch, way too expensive!
21. Have you gained weight since then?
Gained. I haven’t grown much taller though, I haven’t grown much since I was 15.
22. Did you get suspended/expelled?
No, but I did get one detention in 4th form.
23. Can you sing the Alma Mater?
Can’t remember anymore!
24. What did you do after graduation?
Mucked around for the summer, then headed off to university in Wellington and left small-town Palmerston to be narrow-minded and boring without me.
