Closure
In other news.. my Mother's Mother has died. A representative from the law firm handling my grandparent's estate emailed me today. I was also informed that, evidently, my Mother's Father died last July.
10/26/98 My Mother (I think that date is correct).
11/28/06 My Father
7/??/07 My Grandfather
4/??/08 My Grandmother
My Father's mother, as I recall, is also deceased, and has been for some years now.
This pretty much concludes the possible deaths in my "immediate family". Any Aunts, uncles or Cousins's on my Mother's side of the family, are in Germany. And those on my Father's side are.. well astranged isn't the right word, that implies a "damaged relationship".. and there's never really been all that much connection on that side of the family with me.
I'd cry for my grandparents, but I cried all of my tears for them years ago, when they shut me out of their life. Mostly that was my Grandmother's doing, but still.
I am the end of my line. Does it much matter that I no longer have family photos or keepsakes? I have no one to share them with.
