time to say goodbye
What do they call this -- burning bridges? I knew all along what I wanted but now as we draw nearer I'm slowly cutting off the options that hung around in second place. How curious it is, this finality! Knowing now that every step I take now is one further from home and into the unknown, with the quiet knowledge (hope?) that it too will become home -- somehow, someday.
