Honey bees enable us to enjoy a wide array of healthy, delicious foods, including most fruits and nuts, that are important in our diets. You've probably heard that bees are in trouble, afflicted by a mysterious ailment labeled colony collapse disorder (CCD) wherein there are mass die-offs. Commercial pollination has been badly affected in the U.S. and around the world. To date, the cause(s) of CCD are unknown.
